West Java Police Denies Child Involvement Of Official In The Cirebon Vina Murder Case

BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police (Polda) denied the alleged involvement of the sons of officials in the murder case of Vina and Muhammad Rizky or Eky in Cirebon.

Direktur Ditreskrimum Polda Jabar Kombes Surawan mengatakan pihaknya telah bekerja secara maksimal dan memastikan bahwa kasus tersebut diungkap secara transparan.

"So I emphasize here that no official child is involved here. We are very cooperative and transparent regarding this investigation. There is only one DPO, namely Pegi Setiawan," said Surawan in Bandung as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 27.

Regarding the allegations of involvement of an official child in this case, Surawan said investigators still adhered to the facts of the investigation.

"Regarding whatever is conveyed, it's up to you, please, but we are still holding on to the facts of the investigation. Against the investigation that we are doing, we are guided by facts, not assumptions," he said.

He conveyed that with the arrest of Pegi Setiawan, the total number of perpetrators in the Vina murder case in Cirebon amounted to nine people.

"We have investigated it. It turns out that the two. The previous DPO on behalf of Dani and Andi did not exist. So the true DPO one, on behalf of PS," said Surawan.

Surawan said that based on the results of the investigation, his party found that only Pegi Setiawan had been a DPO so far.

Meanwhile, he admitted that he did not need an acknowledgment from Pegi. He is more confident in the statements of several witnesses who stated that Pegi was involved in this murder.

"What is clear is that we have obtained all the witnesses related to PS' involvement as the mastermind of this incident. So we no longer pay attention to PS's information, the important thing is that we have gathered key witnesses whose statements we have asked for," he added.
