The Latest Conditions Are Flooded In Jakarta, There Are Still 63 RTs Inundated
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) said the latest flood developments that occurred in South and East Jakarta at 14.00 WIB still hit 63 RT.
The flood was caused by a tidal wave that prevented the Ciliwung River from flowing into the sea.
"It has started to recede from 67 RTs to 63 RTs or 0.206 percent of the 30,772 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 25.
The inundated areas are 10 RTs in South Jakarta covering 6 RTs in Rawajati Village with a height of 35-40 cm and 4 RTs in East Pejaten Village with an altitude of 120-200 cm.
Puddles also hit 53 RTs in East Jakarta covering 13 RTs in Bidara Cina Village with an altitude of 150-160 cm, 27 RTs in Kampung Melayu Village with an altitude of 30-200 cm, 1 RT in Balekambang Village with an altitude of 60 cm, 11 RTs in Cawang Village with an altitude of 30 -270 cm, and 1 RT in Cililitan Village with an altitude of 170 cm. All of the causes of this inundation are overflowing Ciliwung River.
The areas that have receded from inundation are 1 RT in Penjaringan Village, 2 RT in Pluit Village, 2 RT in Tanjung Barat Village, 1 RT in Pengadegan Village, 1 RT in Balekambang Village, 1 RT in Pejaten Timur Village and 3 RT in Kebon Baru Village.
BPBD DKI Jakarta mobilizes personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads. The puddle is targeted to recede in a short time.

BPBD DKI urges the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation. Meanwhile, on a separate occasion, Manggarai Water Gate Operator Andi Yusuf said the water level at Manggarai Water Gate began to rise at 06.00 WIB to 830 cm or two alert due to water shipments from Katulampa Dam Bogor and Depok.
"Residents who live on the banks of the Ciliwung River may continue to increase their vigilance because there is still the potential for an increase in local rain," he said.
