DPR Delegation Visits Sweden For Free Lunch And Milk Programs
The DPR Commission IV delegation chaired by Budhy Setiawan and Deputy Chairman Budisatrio Djiwandono made a working visit to Stockholm, Sweden, to prepare a legal framework for the upcoming Indonesian government's free lunch and milk program.
The visit which was also attended by the Chairman of the National Food Agency, Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Director General of PSKL KLHK, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Perhutani, and PT Pupuk Indonesia also aims to explore Indonesia's cooperation with Sweden to support the program.
"This work visit opens up great opportunities for Indonesia and Sweden to strengthen cooperation in the food sector. We see tremendous potential in the exchange of knowledge and technology between the two countries," said Indonesian Ambassador to Sweden Kamapradipta Isnomo in a written statement quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 22.
According to him, the visit was also intended to study Sweden's best practices in the fields of animal husbandry, fisheries, and social forestry that could be applied in Indonesia to support the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's free lunch and milk program.

While in Stockholm, the Indonesian delegation met with Deputy Chairperson of IRiksdag (national legislative body and Sweden's highest decision-making body),Kenneth G. Forslund, Chairman of the Friendship Group of the Indonesian Parliament-SwediaAdam Reuterskiold, representatives of the Swedish Parliament's Agricultural and Environmental Committee, and other members. Other than the official meeting, delegates also visited several important locations, including the Bona Gard livestock and plantations, as well as the Fish & Seafood Market.
"This visit is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Sweden and make a positive contribution to improving the quality of Indonesian human resources ahead of Indonesia Gold 2045," said Ambassador Kama.
