Indonesia Targets To Enter The 2025 U-21 Volleyball World Championship
JAKARTA The Central Board of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI) is targeting Indonesia's target of qualifying for the 2025 U-21 Volleyball World Championship or the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's U-21 World Championship.
The championship, which will be attended by 24 teams from the five confederations, is planned to be held from August to September 2025.
The General Chairperson of PBVSI, Imam Sudjarwo, said that to get a ticket there, the Indonesian Volleyball Team needed to have the top four predicate at the U-20 Asian Championships on 23-30 July 2024 in Surabaya.

"Our target in the U-20 (Asian Championships) is the top four. If it is met, then we can enter the 2025 U-21 Volleyball World Cup," said Imam in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
In addition to targeting the target of qualifying, Indonesia is also working to host the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's U-21 World Championship.
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, said that if you can get the host's share, then Indonesia will automatically participate even if it does not enter the top four at the 2024 U-20 Asian Championships.
"Therefore, I conveyed earlier (to PBVSI). I ask that we again try to propose to be the host because there is potential to become the host," he said.
At this time, the squad prepared for the 2024 U-20 Asian Championships is participating in the 2024 Proliga competition. The squad in question is the Jakarta Garuda Jaya team.
In addition to playing in the 2024 Proliga, the Jakarta Garuda Jaya team will also depart for the 2024 AVC Challenge Men or AVC Challenge Cup 2024 for Men on 2-9 June 2024 in Isa Town, Bahrain.
