Nurul Ghufron's Resistance To The KPK Council Is Rumored To Want To Advance As A Capim
JAKARTA - The steps of the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, against the ethical process held by the KPK Supervisory Board regarding abuse of authority because they maintain their image of running as a candidate for leadership in the coming period. Moreover, he has won a judicial review (JR) lawsuit at the Constitutional Court (MK).
This was conveyed by former KPK investigator Yudi Purnomo in response to various efforts proposed by Ghufron, such as from filing a lawsuit at the State Administrative Court (PTUN) to reporting the KPK Supervisory Board to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.
"It could be that Ghufron's ubiquitous resistance, yes, including reporting to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, is of course related to his efforts, which cannot be separated from his desire to run again (as a leader, ed)," said Yudi when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, May 21.
"We know that he has won in JR in the Constitutional Court so that he can run again because the important thing is that 50 years under him can progress as long as he has been the leader of the KPK," he continued.
He said Ghufron was fighting so that he would not be proven to have violated ethics. This is because the verdict against him could thwart the administrative process that must be followed.
"Because the KPK Law Article 29 (KPK Leadership, ed) has never committed a disgraceful act, honestly, has high integrity and morals and a good reputation. So this makes Ghufron afraid that the selection committee will cross it out during administration," said Yudi.
As previously reported, the Supervisory Board will decide the fate of the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, who is suspected of having committed an ethical violation for assisting the transfer of employees of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) on Tuesday, May 21.
"Tomorrow at 14.00 WIB, the KPK Council's ethical decision," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, May 20.
However, the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) ordered the KPK Supervisory Board to postpone the ethical examination of the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, in an interim decision today, Monday, May 20.
