The Sikka NTT Police Failed To Send 19 Procedural Candidates For Non-Procedural Workers From Lembata

The Sikka Police, Polda NTT, thwarted the shipment of 19 prospective non-procedural workers who will depart for East Kalimantan from Maumere, the capital city of Sikka Regency."It is planned that the 19 prospective non-procedural workers will depart through Fransiskus Xaverius Seda Maumere Airport using the Lion Air plane on Monday," said Head of Public Relations of Sikka Police AKP Susanto when contacted from Mbay, Nagekeo, Antara, Monday, May 20.The dozens of non-procedural candidates consisted of 16 adults and three children. They were arrested on Sunday, May 19 evening while in an uninhabited house owned by a resident with the initials SE in Kokowahor Village, Kangae District."They were secured by a team led by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sikka Police, AKP Antua Simanjorang, together with the Head of Intelligence and Security at the Sikka Police, Iptu Suparjo, Kaur Bin Ops (KBO) of the Sikka Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda Sang Nyoman Parwata, and members of the Intelligence and Security Unit and the Special Crime Unit (Tipiter) of the Sikka Police Satreskrim," he said.Furthermore, he said, the joint team from the Intelligence and Security Unit and the Sikka Police Criminal Investigation Unit at 23.00 WITA brought the illegal non-procedural workers from Lembata Regency to the Sikka Police using a mass control car (dalmas) for further questioning and examination."The joint team also secured the owner of the house where non-procedural prospective workers stayed before leaving for East Kalimantan," he said.Based on the results of the examination, he said, there was a non-procedural prospective worker with the initials L (53) who also served as chairman of the group and recruiter."Their departure to East Kalimantan was by purchasing a ticket in Sikka Regency and they were only asked for an ID card (residential card)," he said.
During the examination, according to him, the dozens of prospective workers admitted that they did not have the completeness of administrative documents and did not know the address of the place of work they were going for the first time they left for East Kalimantan.
