South Jakarta District Court Receives New File For Pretrial Lawsuit For Inactive Regent Sidoarjo Gus Muhdlor
JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court has again received a pretrial application file for the inactive Regent of Sidoarjo, East Java, Ahmad Muhdlor or who is familiarly called Gus Muhdlor against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) after previously being revoked.
"The first trial is on May 28," said South Jakarta District Court Public Relations official Djuyamto in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 20.
Information gathered from the official website of the South Jakarta District Court, Gus Muhdlor's lawsuit was filed with the South Jakarta District Court (PN) on May 14, 2024.
The lawsuit is by classifying the case, namely whether or not the determination of the suspect to Gus Muhdlor by the KPK is legal in connection with a corruption case.
Djuyamto said the trial would be chaired by the sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court (Jaksel) Radityo Baskoro, with the agenda of the inaugural trial reading the application on May 28 in room 3 at around 10:00 WIB.
"With case number 56/Pid.Pra/2024/PN JKT.SEL," he said.
On Monday (13/5) the South Jakarta District Court granted the revocation of the pretrial lawsuit filed by Gus Muhdlor against the KPK.
Djuyamto said that based on the request for revocation, the sole judge granted what had been proposed so that the pretrial trial was completed.
"Ahmad Muhdlor at the pretrial hearing on Monday, May 13, 2024, through his attorney has submitted the revocation of the pretrial application," he said.

The KPK has detained Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor after being named a suspect in a case of alleged corruption within the Regional Tax Service Agency (BPPD) of Sidoarjo Regency.
"For investigation needs, the investigative team detained the suspect AMA for the first 20 days starting from May 7 to May 26, 2024 at the KPK branch detention center," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Johanis Tanak at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday (7/5).
At that time, Gus Muhdlor was seen wearing an orange vest that read "KPK detainees" escorted by KPK officers and presented at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday afternoon.
