Volvo Officially Launches China's EX30 Assembled, Its Banderol Is Around IDR 400 Million
JAKARTA - Recently, the assembled Volvo EX30 from China was officially launched after marking its debut in the bamboo curtain country last April through the Beijing Auto Show 2024.
According to CarNewsChina, Monday, May 20, the smallest SUV ever introduced by Volvo is provided in four variants, namely RWD Core, RWD long-range plus, RWD long-range ultra, and AWD ultra high-performance.
Built on the SEA platform, this Volvo EX30 has a design with a typical SkandINAvia'' style and a modern T-shaped lamp. The front Grill is neatly closed by displaying an iconic manufacturer logo.
Because this car is a assembled China, the car is given the logo Volvo Asia Pacific on the right back and down at the baggage door. The car has a smooth body curve with pillars A, B, and C designed to smoke black. Equipped with a large low-drag wheel and side skirt with a decorative strip, EX30 has a hidden door handle.
Posited as the smallest SUV compared to other models, EX30 has a length of 4,233 mm, a width of 1,838 mm, a height of 1,555 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.

On the inside, the interior is decorated by a 12.3-inch central screen that can regulate various functions. Furthermore, the infotainment system has been integrated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The steering wheel has a pattern of three multifunctional bars with a touch of sensitive control, replacing conventional buttons. The dashboard is equipped with an audio system Harman Kardon 1.2 m which offers impressive sound.
Volvo also highlighted safety and convenience at EX30, by giving it the ADAS L2+ feature such as Pilot Assist and Parking Assistance.
For the distance, EX30 variants of the RWD Core have a 49 kWh LFP battery that can reach 410 km according to the CLTC cycle. Meanwhile, the other three variants have a 66 kWh ternary lithium battery.
Thus, the long-range and ultra RWD variants have a range of up to 590 km. Meanwhile, for ultra high-performance AWD with 540 km.
For performance, the initial three variants have electric motors measuring 272 dk and torque 343 Nm. Meanwhile, AWD high-performance ultra with power reaches 428 dk and torque 543 Nm. All trims have the highest speed of up to 180 km/hour and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 3.6 seconds.
The China-made EX30 Volvo is priced from 200,800 yuan to 255,800 yuan (around Rp443.7 million to Rp565.2 million).
