KPK Reveals Findings Of Two Companies In Papua In Arrears Of Vehicle Taxes Worth IDR 1 Billion

JAYAPURA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) found that two companies in Papua had motor vehicle tax arrears (PKB) in recent years worth Rp1 billion. Chairman of the Task Force (Satgas) Coordination of Supervision Region V KPK, Dian Patria said the findings were revealed at a meeting with the Papua Regional Revenue Management Agency.

"On Friday (17/5) we held a meeting with the Papua Regional Revenue Management Agency and as a result, the KPK found two companies that had PKB arrears of Rp. 1 billion. We provide assistance, so that there is no omission from the government and from the side of the company they do not comply with paying taxes," he said. Dian Patria in Jayapura, Sunday, May 19.

These two companies, he said, have an obligation to pay taxes but are not cooperative. He explained that this was done so that there would be no state losses, later his business could be criminal.

"Companies must support Papua's development by obediently paying taxes, because Papua's fiscal conditions are very limited at this time," he said again.

For this reason, said Dian, his party will continue to provide assistance in order to optimize regional income. Head of Samsat Jayapura Dian Anggraini said that there are still several other companies that are in arrears with PKB, apart from the two companies.

"But we are disclosing the data of these two companies to the KPK because the value is the largest and we have difficulty collecting," he said.
