Remember And Pay Respect To F1 Legend Ayrton Senna, Ducati Release Monster Senna
JAKARTA - Ducati launched a special edition Monster model in order to pay tribute to the 30th anniversary of the death of Brazilian F1 legend, Ayrton Senna.
This motorbike, called 'Monster Senna', is available in limited quantities, which is 341 units worldwide. The number '3' is the number of world titles in F1 and 41 is the total Grand Prix victory for Senna.
"Monster Senna is a demonstration of how honorable we are in defining a champion at this extraordinary level as a true Ducatista," said Ducati Motor Holding CEO Claudio Domenicali, on the company's official website, Saturday, May 18.
This motorbike looks special with a yellow, green and blue livery, depicting the Brazilian flag as well as the iconic helmet pattern that Ayrton Senna had worn during her career in racing.
In addition, Monster Senna offers a dynamic side with a weight of up to 175 kg or 4 kg lighter than its standard version. Not only that, Ducati also designed optimal control on this iron horse.
Carrying a functional chassis inspired by Ducati Superbikes, Monster Senna is equipped with fully tunable Ohlins suspensions, tempa rims, as well as a state-of-the-art braking system with Brembo Stylema front caliber, and aluminum flares for brake disks.
This motor performance is supported by a liquid-cooled cylindrical double cylindrical 4-katup Testasretta engine that can deliver up to 111 dk of power that offers high-end driving pleasure.
Another privilege on this motorbike is that Ducati presents it with the plaque on the three-time multiplet with the name of the model and the unit number of the motorcycle and the certification of authenticity.

Ducati had a close relationship with this Brazilian racer during his lifetime. In 1990, the owner of Ducati at that time, Claudio Castglioni, who was also a fan of Ayrton Senna, gave him an 851 SP motorbike.
Over time, both Ducati and Senna have characteristics in common which make their relationship closer so that special collaborations between the two are made.
One of the results of the collaboration between Senna and Ducati is the birth of the 916 Senna motorcycle, a motorcycle with the characteristics of a livery chosen by a Brazilian driver personally, with a contrasting graphics between the anthractic, black and red gray, which became an icon in the following years. This model is limited to 300 units.
The racer who was born in Sao Paolo, Brazil was also one of the first owners of the Monster 900 motorcycle which he then used to travel the Monte Carlo region and went to a gala night at the 1993 Monaco Grand Prix.
Ayrton Senna breathed her last after a tragic accident in the San Marino Grand Prix race at the Imola Circuit on May 1, 1994, which is remembered as the last weekend in F1 history.
The racer who was born on March 21, 1960, won the world title 3 times, namely in 1988, 1990, and 1991. He is also remembered for his heated rivalry with fellow F1 legends from France as well as 4 times world champion, Alain Prost.
