Local PO Adds Bus Ammunition, Purchase 10 Mercedes-Benz OH 1626L MT Euro 4 Units
JAKARTA - Has been loyal to use the OH 1626 chassis since 2022, the Otobus Trans Antarnusa Mulya (PO TAM) company from Pekanbaru officially added 10 Mercedes-Benz OH 1626L MT Euro 4 buses. The unit handover activity was carried out at the Adiputro booth at the 2024 Busworld event, which took place on May 15-17, 2024 at the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran.
Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DCVI) as the commercial vehicle brand holder agent for Mercedes-Benz buses and trucks was also present as a witness in the handover of units together with DCVI dealers, namely Citra Karya Pranata (CKP) Bandung, and PT Karoseri Adiputro Wirasejati.
DCVI's presence together with CKP at this handover event is also to give appreciation to PO TAM for the trust given to the Mercedes-Benz bus unit and its commitment to provide security and comfort guarantees for its fleet users.
Since last year we have introduced the 1626 L EUro 4 OH Bus to consumers, DCVI has received quite a lot of demand from bus entrepreneurs in Indonesia. One of them is PO TAM," said DCVI President Director Naeem Hassim, in an official statement from the company, Friday, May 17.

On the same occasion, the owner of PO TAM Wisata Taufik Martha Akhzar revealed that many customers specifically chose to use the Mercedes-Benz bus unit for their tourist purposes.
"They already have an understanding of the comfort and security that Mercedes-Benz units always provide on routes in Sumatra," said Taufik.
As is known, the latest OH 1626L MT Euro 4 chassis was built with the 5 MHD Jetbus model in accordance with a special request by PO TAM to ensure the convenience of its fleet users. These units will later be used for tourism transportation purposes as well as AKAP transportation for Sumatra and Java areas.
Some of the new OH 1626 units belonging to PO TAM will also be used to serve the AKAP Sumatra - West Java route. Of the total 35 OH 1626 units owned, 10 units will be devoted to serving the AKAP route.
