New Generation Suzuki Dzire Will Use Machines And Technology From Swift Latest

JAKARTA - Suzuki has launched the latest generation Swift for the Indian market. This car has undergone many changes ranging from design to the addition of a number of features.

However, the manufacturer doesn't want to stop there. Suzuki intends to launch the latest generation Dzire in the middle of this year. Reportedly, this compact sedan will have the same engine as Swift's newest, especially since its appearance in 2008 Dzire was developed as a sedan variety of Swift's hatchback.

Reporting from Gaadiwaadi, Friday, May 17, the car will be powered by the latest 1.2 liter 3-cylinder naturally-assisted Z series engine. In addition, Dzire will also use the same platform as Swift, namely Heartect.

The machine is said to have up to 82 ps of power and 112 Nm of torque. Suzuki will also provide a manual transmission option of five accelerations and five automatic accelerations. As a result, Dzire will have fuel efficiency similar to Swift's.

As an illustration, Suzuki Swift has fuel efficiency of up to 25.75 km/l. In addition, the internal part is equipped with water pump as engine cooling and a Lambda water-flow sensor that can reduce CO2 emissions by 12 percent.

Not only sharing internal components, but Dzire will also get a number of similar technologies such as Swift, including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, wireless chargers, 6 airbags, hill hold control, auto climate control, cruise control, as well as LED headlights and rear.

Another interesting thing is that it is likely that Dzire will be equipped with a sunset. It is hoped that the price will be similar to that of Swift, which was just launched some time ago and will be a competitor to Honda Amaze.

For the price picture, Suzuki Swift itself is offered at prices ranging from 649,000 rupees (equivalent to Rp124.6 million) to the most expensive ones reaching 964,500 rupees (around Rp185.2 million).
