8 Heads Of State Will Attend The World Water Forum In Bali

DENPASAR - PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said eight heads of state would attend the World Water Forum (WWF) 10 which will be held in Bali, May 18-25, 2024.

Minister Basuki said the heads of state who attended included Indonesia, Timor Leste, Fiji, Tajikistan, Srilanka, Hungary, and Morocco.

"In addition, there are three deputy ministers, namely Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Slokavia and three special envoys for presidents from the Netherlands, France and the United Arab Emirates," he said, Thursday, May 16.

He revealed that as many as 105 ministers were also scheduled to attend the WorldWater Forum Bali from 132 countries and international organizations.

"For the participants, if those who registered until this afternoon were 13,000 participants. But those who registered officially, not those who did not register, like their wives, families, subordinates, who were not registered. Now we will count exactly because it will affect the logistics, those who register will definitely move until Sunday," he said.

Minister Basuki Hadimuljono explained that a number of activities were planned to be held in the World WaterForum Bali series including the Balinese Water Purification Ceremony which was held in the Kura-Kura Bali area on May 18.

Furthermore, on Monday (20/5) there will be a opening ceremony in the BICC Nusa Dua area which will be followed by a High Level Meeting which will be led by President Joko Widodo.

In addition, in the afternoon the World Water Forumakan series was continued with Bali Art Carnival and Gala Dinner activities at Garuda Wisnu Kencana.

Until now, various preparations for the implementation of the largest water forum in the world have been completed.

"I think everything is clear, this is the last coordination meeting, tomorrow there will be a strategic floor game (TFG) related to security, so everything is ready including all events," said Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.
