Preparation For Rehabilitation Of The Mount Halu Landslide Area, West Java Provincial Government Waits For An Emergency Response Signal For West Bandung
West Java (Jabar) Provincial Government (Pemprov) is waiting for an emergency response status from the West Bandung Regency Government (KBB) to ensure rehabilitation from landslides in the sub-districts of Gunung Halu and Rongga.
Acting Governor of West Java Beyxi Machmudin said that the emergency response status would be the basis for the rehabilitation of damage caused by landslides in the Village of the Jaya Gunung Halu Session and Cicadas Rangga Village, such as damaged roads and houses.
"There are two locations, on Mount Halu the road is damaged, in Rongga there are 46 houses affected. We are still waiting for the emergency response status of the (Pj) West Bandung Regent," Bey said in a statement in Bandung, Thursday, May 16, which was confiscated by Antara.
Bey, on the evening of Wednesday, May 15, directly inspected the location of the landslide and revealed that the landslide disaster did not cause any casualties, and in the meantime residents have fled and appreciated the authorities at the location who had provided assistance and public kitchens.
"For damage management, we are still waiting for an emergency response," said Bey.
Landslides in Gunung Tugu Village themselves demand to be repaired because they cut off roads that cut off residents' access. If rehabilitation is carried out, there are a number of alternatives that can be built to prevent the same incident from happening again.
"Maybe it's a circular road. We also discussed what West Bandung will look like, because this is related to the budget, there is indeed a mechanism if we lower BTT (unexpected assistance) from the province, we want it as soon as possible because it's a pity that people are disturbed," he said.

According to him, the BTT fund support is possible if there is a mechanism that has been taken by the West Bandung Regency Government. Bey ensured that in principle his party wanted the rehabilitation of this landslide disaster to be carried out immediately.
"We want to finish it soon, we also want to discuss with the Ministry of PUPR maybe there can be assistance," he said.
Bey also asked residents in disaster-prone locations to remain vigilant even though they have entered the transition period, but the intensity of rain can still be high and long.
"We ask the public to be careful, continue to pay attention to the directions of officers in the field and please don't underestimate the weather, for example, in the summer, it doesn't mean it's raining in the afternoon, the threat of disaster is still there," he concluded.
