Supervision Improved, Immigration Finds A Number Of Foreigners In The Riau Islands Lingga
Immigration Dabo Singkep found a number of foreigners and foreign workers (TKA) in Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province (Kepri).
Head of the Class II Immigration Office Non TPI Dabo Singkep Yanto Ardianto said the discovery was through a jagratara operation or immigration surveillance action in 2024 aimed at increasing supervision of foreigners in the local area.
"This operation is divided into two teams. Team I focuses on the Dabo Singkep area, and Team II in the Daik area and Pancur Village," said Yanto in Lingga, Riau Islands, Thursday, May 16, which was confiscated by Antara.
He stated that the two teams targeted hotels, inns, and companies suspected of employing foreigners.
From the results of the jagratara operation, he said, nine foreigners were found staying at a hotel for tourist purposes. In addition, five foreign workers were also found at PT Thianshan Alumina Indonesia.
"From the results of the examination, no immigration violations were found, and there was one female Vietnamese citizen holding a family union residence permit (ITAS) in Pancur," said Yanto.

Yanto conveyed that his team had also given an appeal to the inn and hotel managers to always report the whereabouts of foreigners to the Dabo Singkep Immigration Office.
Likewise, the company must always report the whereabouts and activities of foreigners and the use of foreign workers must be in accordance with the residence permit.
His party is committed to continuing to increase supervision of the presence and activities of foreigners in the Lingga Regency area. This is done to maintain security and state order.
"Operation Jagratara is an operation carried out simultaneously throughout Indonesia. This operation aims to increase supervision of the existence and activities of foreigners," he concluded.
