Thailand Open 2024 Results: Gregoria Is Not Satisfied With Her Appearance
JAKARTA The women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung was not satisfied with her appearance even though she was able to go through the first round of the Thailand Open 2024.
Gregoria, who is the third seed, stepped into the second round of the BWF Super 500 event after defeating Chinese representatives Taipei, Liang Ting Yu, two straight games 21-18 and 21-17, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, afternoon WIB.
Gregoria admitted that there were still many mistakes that she made in the match, so she had been left behind several times.
"In terms of the game that I showed today is not comfortable. Field conditions are different from yesterday's training. I'm also still looking for the best form of play," he said.

At the end of the first game, Gregoria was left behind by three points 15-18. However, he was then able to get up and score six consecutive points to win the game.
Gregoria also experienced a fairly tight situation at the start of the second game. He repeatedly chased behind before starting to dominate ahead of the interval and was not overtaken again after.
"The loss occurred because of my own fault. However, it must be admitted that the opponent also played well and this was the first meeting," said the athlete from Wonogiri.
Gregoria is the second Indonesian women's singles to qualify for the second round of this tournament. Previously, one ticket had already been secured by Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi.
The women's singles has lost one representative, namely Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo. The badminton player who was born in Jayapura returned early after losing to India's representative, Ashmita Chaliha.
