After Shutting Down In 2022, Ford EcoSport Rises Again From 2025
JAKARTA - Ford is rumored to be returning its old name to its newest ranks, one of which is EcoSport which was injected dead in 2022. Moreover, currently, the manufacturer does not yet have a small-dimensional crossover at an affordable price.
According to a report by Motor.Es written by Top Gear Philippines, Tuesday, May 14, the manufacturer with the nickname Blue Oval will revive the model in 2025. The report says the model will be assembled at the Valencia, Spain plant.
Thus, the latest Ford EcoSport will be rivals to Dacia Duster on the blue continent. In Europe, Duster has a strong influence on the small budget crossover class, a segment Ford also wants.
Another interesting thing is that the model will be offered in a hybrid powertrain. However, the company will also present a turbocharged option with a lower capacity engine.
Currently, there is no new picture of this model in the form of a prototype being tested. It is likely that the public will soon find out its form in the middle or end of 2025.
