BNPB Immediately Repair Public Facilities And Damaged Houses Affected By West Sumatra Flash Floods

AGAM- The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) will immediately repair a number of public facilities, damaged warrga houses and take into account the recovery needs of survivors affected by flash floods in West Sumatra (West Sumatra).

Head of BNPB Lieutenant General (Letjen) TNI Suharyanto explained a number of steps that the government would take after the cold lava band of Mount Marapi that hit a number of areas in West Sumatra (West Sumatra).

On that occasion, Lt. Gen. Suharyanto said the number of victims who died due to the flood of cold lava in Mount Marapi reached 50 people.

"As of today, there are 50 people who have died and are scattered in a number of areas," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Padang City Search and Rescue Office, Abdul Malik, said that until Monday night at 20.00 WIB there were 50 people who died due to the cold lava flood of Mount Marapi and landslides in Sitinjak Lauik.

The details are 20 victims in Agam Regency, 16 from Tanah Datar Regency, seven residents in Padang Pariaman Regency, and two victims each were found in Padang Panjang City. Of the 50 victims who died, 47 victims were identified while three were still in the process of identifying the authorities, he said.
