Accelerate Electrification In India, Honda Opens New Litbang Center In Bengaluru
JAKARTA - Honda R&D Private Limited (HRID), a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co., Ltd, which focuses on developing electric motorcycles in India, has just opened the latest research and development facilities in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The move is in line with the local government's vision of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 2021, which confirms India's efforts to achieve its greenhouse gas-free target by 2070.
In an effort to reduce environmental impact, Honda not only introduces electrification products, but is also committed to creating added value so that its vehicles become the main choice of consumers with the best service.
The facility, called the Solution R&D Center, will incorporate advanced mobility technology into the development of electric vehicles more quickly, as well as working on IT devices, leading mobility technology, and competitive trends.

According to a company report, Monday, May 13, the R&D center will collaborate with a number of companies to design innovative ideas to develop long-term services and businesses.
In addition, Honda also focuses on efficient energy consumption through the Triple Action to Zero2 initiative (neutral carbon, clean energy, and power circulation), as well as efforts to prevent traffic accidents.
In the context of two-wheeled vehicles, Honda has set a target to achieve carbon neutrality in all motorcycle products by 2040. This is also followed by a global target to achieve zero emissions in all company products and activities by 2050.
