Weekend Long Holiday, 414,538 Trans Sumatra Toll Road Vehicles

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK noted that the volume of vehicles passing on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) totaled 414,538 vehicles during the long holiday period last weekend. This number increased by 15 when compared to VLL Normal.

As is known, last weekend was a holiday commemorating the Ascension of Jesus Christ. This long holiday starts from May 8 to May 12.

"This increase is estimated to be a large number of toll road users taking advantage of collective leave to vacation out of town or just visiting tourist attractions," said EVP Corporate Secretary of PT Hutama Karya (Persero) Adjib Al Hakim in an official statement, Monday, May 13.

Adjib said that during the long holiday period at the weekend, the Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung Toll Road was most crossed because it made it easier to access tourist sites in the Palembang area.

"Meanwhile, the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road is the segment that experienced the most significant increase in traffic by 40 percent, due to the large number of toll road users who vacationed via land from Seulimeum to Baitussalam," he explained.

Adjib also detailed vehicles passing on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, vehicles crossing the Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung Toll Road (Terpeka) as many as 76,866 Vehicles or an increase of 17 percent from normal VLLs.

Then, 61,350 vehicles crossing the Palembang-Prabumulih (Palindra & Inprabu) toll road or an increase of 6 percent from the normal VLL. Then, 9,667 vehicles crossing the Bengkulu-Taba Penjung (Bengtaba) Toll Road or an increase of 26 percent from normal VLL.

"Vehicles crossing the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang (Pekbang) toll road are 31,579 vehicles, an increase of 23 percent from normal VLL," he explained.

Then, there were 73,649 vehicles crossing the Pekanbaru-Dumai (Permai) toll road, an increase of 14 percent from normal VLL. Furthermore, 38,612 vehicles crossing the Indrapura-Lima Puluh (Inkish) Toll Road or 7.47 percent higher than normal VLL.

Vehicles that cross the Binjai-Tanjung Pura (Binsa) Toll Road are 46,017 vehicles, an increase of 15 percent from normal VLLs. Furthermore, vehicles crossing the Sigli-Banda Aceh (Seulimeum-Baitussalam) (Sibanceh) Toll Road were 21,554 vehicles, an increase of 40 percent from normal VLLs.
