AC Ventures Highlights The Importance Of Recruiting The Best Talenta In The AI Sector For Business
AC Ventures (ACV), a leading venture capital firm, considers that the labor market landscape in Southeast Asia has experienced significant changes amid the presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
PWC studies in 2023 show that 44 percent of employees in Asia Pacific feel the skills needed for work will change in five years, but only 48 percent understand how this change will happen.
Therefore, according to AVP of Organization and People at AC Ventures, Derisa Zahara, companies also need to develop strategies to attract the best talents to join their companies.
According to him, it is difficult to talk about talented talents without paying attention to the huge impact of new technologies, such as AI. He also gave an example of a new step by the Singapore government which aims to attract 15 thousand experts in the AI sector.
"Discussing the strategic goal of attracting 15,000 AI specialists, it deserves appreciation but is only the beginning," said Strategic Advisor at Carsome, as well as AC Ventures company portfolio Advisor Sergio Salvador.
Because, given the growing need for AI technology, this amount is only the government's initial effort. And in the coming decades, demand for AI talent will increase across the region.

To meet this need, Sergio argues that a diverse approach is very important. For example, providing skills training to current employees and collaborating with educational institutions to prepare students will be key.
"This strategy must combine direct talent acquisitions with long-term educational partnerships to cultivate persistent flows from skilled professionals to the AI sector," he concluded.
