Four KRIs Deliver Rantis To Patwal Motors For The World Water Forum
The four warships (KRI) of the Indonesian Navy carry a number of tactical vehicles, seariders, to patrol motorbikes and escorts (patwals) from Kolinlamil Pier, Jakarta, to Bali to support the security of the 10th World Water Forum Summit.
Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Information Center (Kapuspen) Maj. Gen. Nugraha Gumilar, explained that the four KRIs carrying vehicles for the security of the 10th World Water Forum VVIP in Bali, namely KRI Banda Aceh-593, KRI Banjarmasin-592, KRI Teluk Bintuni-520, and KRI Makassar-590.
Kapuspen TNI, which also serves as Commander of the Information Task Force for the Joint Integrated Security Command (Kogabpadpam) VVIP of the 10th World Water Forum Summit, said dozens of tactical vehicles (rantis), motorbikes, and other defense equipment were scheduled to arrive at Tanjung Benoa Port, Bali, Tuesday (14/5).
In the series of rantis and defense equipment shipments, Nugraha said there was an defense equipment to anticipate the emergency situation during the 10th World Water Forum Summit in Bali on 18'25 May 2024.

"The existing defense equipment is like an airplane to prepare for evacuation, natural disasters, or mountain eruptions. Sea security is also prepared, ships are deployed. KRI-KRI are deployed in the Bali Strait and the Lombok Strait," said Kapuspen TNI.
Maj. Gen. TNInugraha said that tactical vehicles and defense equipment transported from Jakarta to Bali include CBRNE Sprinter 516 special vehicles, special vehicles for the investigation of the Zeni Nubika Contingent,ANGKA (satwa) vehicles, Anoa combat vehicles, Jihandak Ivader+Bomb Trailer special vehicles, electric cars (military police), seariders, and towing trucks.
In the same activity, a number of TNI soldiers from the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) were also transported to be delivered to Bali. The personnel from Paspampres sailed to Bali on the KRI Banda Aceh.
The TNI has prepared more than 12,000 TNI soldiers from three dimensions to secure the 10th World Water Forum. The soldiers deployed were divided into the VVIP Security Task Force, Regional Security Task Force, Evacuation Task Force, Medical Task Force, Sea Task Force (Satgasla), and Air Task Force (Satgasud).
For security in the waters around Bali, the TNI deployed seven warships consisting of two frigates, one corvette, one hospital aid ship (BRS), and three fast patrol boats, namely KRI Raden Eddy Martadinata-331, KRI Ahmad Yani-351, KRI Sultan Hasanuddin-366, KRI Layang-635, KRI Tongkol-813, KRI Marlin-877, and KRI dr. Soeharso-990.
There are also two helicopters, seariders, and LCVP (landing aircraft vehicles).
The World Water Forum is a world-scale meeting that focuses mainly on sustainable water security and governance. The forum involves, among others, governments of various countries, international institutions, political leaders, academics, businessmen, and civil society organizations.
The World Water Forum Summit takes place every 3 years since the first meeting was held in Marrakesh, Morocco, in 1997. Indonesia at the World Water Forum 10 acts as the host as stipulated at the World Water Council (WWC) General Assembly in Dakar, Senegal, in 2022.
The 10th World Water Forum in Bali will involve representatives from 172 countries, and 166 meetings from various levels.
For the 10th World Water Forum, Indonesia has the theme "Water for Shared Prosperity".
