Physical Realization Of The Padang-Sicincin Capai 60 Percent Toll Road

JAKARTA - The physical realization of the Padang-Pekanbaru toll road construction section of Padang-Sicincin has reached 60 percent and continues to be accelerated to be completed according to the target, namely in July 2024.

"It is currently in the middle of the land acquisition process for toll exit. For this reason, the West Sumatra Provincial Government has allocated a budget to assist the Padang Pariaman Regency Government," said Head of the West Sumatra Province Public Housing, Settlement and Land Office (Perkimtan), Rifda Suriani, in Padang, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 11.

The budget assistance, according to him, used a special financial assistance scheme (BKK) to finance the compensation for Tarok City toll exit land.

"The assistance was given based on a request previously submitted by the Padang Pariaman Regency Government to the West Sumatra Provincial Government," he said.

He said that the land acquisition for the toll exit was still found in a number of dynamics in the field, as was the case in the stage of public consultation with the land owner community in order to determine the location.

When invited, some land owners are still unable to attend, so they need to be invited back to determine the location in the two areas.

"When public consultations are carried out, most of the people are willing to use the land for toll exit land. However, not all of those present, so we must invite or return to the land owner who has not been present," he said.

According to him, when the location is determined, it will then become the authority of BPN and the Ministry of PUPR to process its continuation.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the West Sumatra DPRD Irsyad Safar said all parties must make maximum efforts so that the construction of the Padang - Sicincin toll road can be completed according to the direction of the Minister of PUPR.

"Everything certainly needs to be moved. The provincial government by completing the determination of the location, BPN and the PUPR Ministry by accelerating the payment of land replacement, and Hutama Karya for physical development must also be accelerated," he said.

He also appealed to people whose land was affected by development to provide support. Because, those who will benefit from this development are not only the government but also the wider community.
