Pertamina: Don't Worry That Pertalite Will Still Be Distributed

DENPASAR - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga stated that the public does not need to worry about the continuity of the Pertalite type subsidy fuel (BBM) which is still distributed according to the provisions.

"Until now, we are still distributing Pertalite in all areas, especially areas of East Java, Bali, NTB and NTT in accordance with the assignments given by the Government," said the Area Manager for Communication Relations and CSR for the East Java Regional, Bali and Nusa Tenggara Sunday Rahedi in a written statement in Denpasar, Friday.

In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 37.K/HK.02/MEM.M/2022, Pertalite is a Special Assignment Fuel Type (JBKP) so that changes in distribution must go through government policies.

As the operator for the distribution of JBKP, his party emphasized that it was still distributing Pertalite (RON 90) to the public, according to the 2024 quota set by the Government.

Based on BUMN data, until April 2024, the realization of Pertalite's distribution nationally reached 9.9 million kiloliters (KL), out of the total quota of Pertalite in 2024 set by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) of 31.7 million KL.

Of that number, the Pertalite quota in Bali will reach 221,000 KL in 2024 with the realization of distribution reaching 72,900 KL.

As an effort to carry out assignments to distribute subsidized fuel on target for eligible consumers, his party has carried out socialization and education regarding appropriate subsidies to the public since July 2022.

The state-owned oil and gas sector also encourages digitalization for the distribution of subsidized fuel through the right subsidy program by continuing to ensure that the system can run optimally.

His party runs the right subsidy program by collecting data on Pertalite user vehicles to support the distribution on target in the field.

The program is an effort to ensure transparency in the distribution of subsidized fuel, through digital channels that can be monitored up-to-date and prevent potential misappropriation in the field.

Pertamina continues to coordinate with regulators to ensure Pertalite's needs are met in accordance with directives and policies from the Government.
