Indonesia U-23 Failed To Qualify For The 2024 Olympics, Defeated 0-1 From Guinea U-23
JAKARTA - After 90 minutes of fierce matches, the U-23 Indonesian national team finally lost 0-1 to Guinea's U-23 in the 2024 Olympic qualifying play-off match at INF Clairefontaine, France.
In the 28th minute, Ilaix Moriba scored from the penalty spot which put Guinea U-23 1-0 up. French Referee Francois Letexier pointed to the spot after Ilaix was fouled by Witan Sulaiman in the penalty box.
Then in the 75th minute, Guinea was again awarded a penalty but Bah Algasme failed to run it well because the ball hit the crossbar.
In these crucial minutes, the U-23 Indonesian coach, Shin Tae Yong, received a red card from referee Letexier for protesting against a penalty decision which he thought was inappropriate. Alfeandra Dewangga's sliding violation was judged by STY as a legal touch of the ball.

Even though the second half was running fast, the mastery of the game was still in the hands of Guinea U-23. The U-23 Indonesian team continued to try to create pressure on the opponent at the end of the second half, but luck has not taken their side.
The U-23 Indonesian team faced a tough challenge after their key player, Rizky Ridho, was absent due to a red card penalty, while Justin Hubner was unable to play because Cerezo Osaka was not released.
