Potential Strong Winds Hit NTT Until May 13, BMKG Asks Residents To Be Alert
NTT - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded the people of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) to be aware of the impact of the potential strong winds that can occur until May 13, 2024.
"Be aware of the potential for strong winds and the potential impact caused," said Head of Class II Meteorological Station El Tari Kupang Sti Nenotek in Kupang, NTT, Wednesday, May 8, confiscated by Antara.
He explained, in general some areas of NTT have entered the beginning of the dry season.
Cloud growth began to decline and the east Moon wind had started to activate.
According to him, the activity of the eastern monsoon has caused an increase in wind speed in several areas of NTT.
For this reason, he reminded the public to be aware of the potential for strong winds that are dry in the dry season.
This could result in the spread of forest and land fires in the NTT region.
