Long Weekend, A Total Of 70,534 Vehicles Will Cross The Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) through its subsidiary, Jasamarga Kualanamu Tol (JMKT) predicts an increase in vehicle volume on the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi (MKTT) toll road this week.
President Director of PT Jasamarga Kualanamu Tol (JMKT) Thomas Dwiatmanto said the increase in traffic (traffic) occurred in line with the national holiday commemoration of the Ascension of Jesus Christ which falls tomorrow Thursday, May 9, 2024.
"It is predicted that 70,534 vehicles will pass from 8 to 12 May 2024. This figure will increase by 5.33 percent compared to the normal traffic volume in 2024, which is 66,963 vehicles," said Thomas in a written statement received by VOI, Wednesday, May 8.
Thomas predicts that the peak of the holiday flow on the MKTT Toll Road will occur tomorrow, May 9, 2024.
"The number of traffic volumes is estimated to reach 14,062 vehicles or an increase of 10.02 percent from the normal traffic volume in 2024, which is 12,781 vehicles," he said.
He added that his party together with PT Jasamarga Related Business (JMRB) as service provider for the manager of Rest and Service (TIP) ensured the operational readiness of TIP KM 65 B towards Medan and TIP KM 65 A towards Tebing Tinggi on the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi toll road.
"In addition to alerting TIP services, JMKT also ensures operational readiness for transaction services by optimizing operating substations," he said.

Meanwhile, the readiness of traffic services is carried out by alerting 1 rescue fleet, 2 ambulance fleets, 5 crane fleets, 3 Highway Patrol (PJR) fleets, 5 Mobile Customer Services (MCS) fleets, 184 Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) units, 14 smart CCTV units and 11 Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) units.
"JMKT urges toll road users to ensure the adequacy of electronic money balances, ensure the feasibility of vehicles and the adequacy of fuel oil (BBM) before entering the toll road. If you are tired of driving, immediately rest at the nearest TIP," he added.
