Ganjar Declaration Of Prebowo-Gibran Government Opposition, Senior PDIP Politician: That's Not The Party's Attitude
JAKARTA - Senior PDIP politician, Hendrawan Supratikno responded to Ganjar Pranowo's declaration that he would be outside the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government, after losing in the 2024 presidential election. Hendrawan emphasized that the decision was Ganjar's personal attitude, not a party. "As far as I know it is Pak Ganjar's attitude, (if) the PDIP's attitude certainly conveys Pak Sekjen or DPP," said Hendrawan, Wednesday, May 8. Hendrawan asked that the party's personal attitude and attitude regarding positions within or outside the government be not mixed. According to him, the party's official attitude cannot be announced individually by cadres. However, he believes that Ganjar's decision to become an opposition is not just conveyed. "The official attitude of the PDIP is not what it says, he also knows it. (But) Of course, this attitude is not conveyed carelessly. As a PDIP cadre he (Ganjar) knows the inner atmosphere in the PDIP," he said. The DPR member reminded him that opposition is not a bad thing and democracy. Therefore, he considered Ganjar's decision not to be interpreted as an expression of dislike or hostile. "The position must be seen as an attempt to complete the political roles in the democratic system, so that the system works well," he concluded. Previously, Ganjar Pranowo stated that he would not join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. Ganjar emphasized that he would control the government.
"I am declare, first, I will not join this government, but I have great respect for this government, and we will control it in the right way," said Ganjar during the Halal Bihalal TPN event, on Jalan Teuku Umar, Central Jakarta, Monday, May 6.
