Gerindra Has No Problem With Ganjar's Declaration To Be An Opposition

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party has no problem with Ganjar Pranowo's attitude in declaring himself to be outside the Prabowo-Gibran government. Gerindra considered that this attitude was Ganjar's right personally.

"Our country guarantees democracy, guarantees political freedom, guarantees political differences between parties. If it has become Pak Ganjar's choice, we will not be able to hinder it," said Gerindra Deputy Head Habiburokhman to reporters, Tuesday, May 7.

Habiburokhman said that communication between the Gerindra Party elite and Ganjar remained well established. According to him, the opposition attitude is not wrong. "There is no problem, yes and the opposition attitude is also not a wrong choice, yes, which is not good. Because either joining the government or becoming an opposition or outside the government is an equally noble attitude," he said. "We are sure whatever Pak Ganjar's choice, the intention is to do the best for the nation and state," added Habiburokhman. Previously, Ganjar Pranowo declared that he would not join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. Ganjar emphasized that he would control the government.

"I am declare, first, I will not join this government, but I have great respect for this government, and we will control it in the right way," said Ganjar during the Halal Bihalal TPN event, on Jalan Teuku Umar, Central Jakarta, Monday, May 6.

Ganjar said being inside or outside the government was all honorable. The PDIP politician also asked not to sneer at each other about it.

"So that there is political morality, the right way of politics must be advanced, and all are equally honorable, there is no need to sneer at each other," he said.
