GWM Sits In Fourth Place In Chinese Manufacturers With The Most Sales In April 2024
JAKARTA - Great Wall Motor, one of the automotive companies from China, announced its sales volume reached 94,796 units in April, an increase of 1.8 percent from last year's acquisition.
According to CarNewsChina, Tuesday, May 7, its cumulative sales during 2024 reached 370,129 units, an increase of 18.18 percent.
Of the total number, sub-brand Haval managed to dominate in April with 47,054 units and the first four months reached 204,943 units. This was followed by sub-brand Tanks that managed to sell 20,469 units last month and 69,653 units during 2024.
In the top three, there is GWM Pickup which earned sales of 18.069 units in April and 61.564 during this year. Then, the brand Ora with 4.686 during last month and 19.715 units this year as well as Wey with 4.458 vehicles (April 2024 period) and 14.066 cars (for four months 2024).
In the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) segment, the company based in Baoding, China received sales of 81,618 units throughout 2024. Of this number, 22,436 units, an increase of 50.94 percent from last year.

Furthermore, 36,141 units have been sold in overseas markets, an increase of up to 65.68 percent. During this year, GWM recorded 128,919 units in foreign sales, an increase of 74.71 percent.
Compared to its competitors, GWM is in fourth place on the list of the most sales in April achieved by bamboo curtain manufacturers, behind BYD (313,245 units), Chery (182,049 units), Geely (153,267 units), and in front of the Changan company (51,700 units).
By 2030, GWM targets to sell more than one million vehicles overseas annually, with high-end models accounting for more than a third of its sales.
Through the New Four Modernization' strategy, the company intends to expand global development by localizing production capacity, localizing operating vehicles, branding across cultures, and securing supply chains.
