Escaped From 10 Months In Prison, 7 Years Of DPO Illegal Minerba Case In Jambi Arrested By Kejari

JAMBI - The Sarolangun District Attorney's Office (Kejari) in Jambi arrested Zulfikar, who was sentenced to 10 months in prison for transporting minerals and coal (minerba) without a permit or illegal in Jambi.

"Now the convict Zulfikar has been secured and taken to Sarolangun Prison to serve his sentence for the illegal mineral and coal transportation case," said Head of Intel Kejari Sarolangun Rikson in his official statement, Monday, May 6, confiscated by Antara.

The escape of the convict Zulfikar for seven years since 2017 has continued to move, Rikson's whereabouts are difficult to trace and he also fought back when he was about to be arrested some time ago.

"This time he was arrested by the Fugitive Arrest Team of the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) at the Attorney General's Office, Monday (May 6) where the arrest of the fugitive was carried out at the Sungai Manau restaurant, Merangin Regency and this time there was no significant resistance by the convict when he was about to be arrested, but the convict plans to run away," said Rikson.

During his time as a DPO, the convict Zulfikar often moved, making it difficult for officers to track his whereabouts and so far he has been a DPO and hiding in Merangin Regency, but often moved, making it difficult for the team to arrest him.

Previously, the Sarolangun Kejari had arrested the convict Zulfikar, but at that time there was resistance from the convict and fled.

"We have secured it, but there is resistance from the DPO, so we are looking for the right steps and time to make another arrest," said Rikson.

In this case, the convict was proven guilty of committing a criminal act in Article 161 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 4 of 2009, concerning Mineral and Coal Mining in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code and in the decision of the panel of judges, the convict was sentenced to ten months in prison and a fine of Rp. 10 million, subsidiary to three months in prison.
