Google Closes Google Fit API For Developers, Switches To Android Health API
JAKARTA - Google's search giant, has announced that the Google Fit developer API will not be usable and will be supported until June 30, 2025.
"Google Fit API, including REST API, will remain available until June 30, 2025, thus giving developers enough time to migrate to Android Health," wrote Senior Product Manager, Android Health Chris Hark on the Android developer blog.
This change occurs because Google Fit developer services will begin to transition to the core part of the Android Health platform.
Thus, from now on, new registrations for Google Fit API are no longer accepted because Google will focus on improving the Android Health platform in the future.
If you are a developer who uses the Google Fit API for Android, Google recommends migrating to Android Health products now to ensure services are not disrupted later.
