In Addition To The Potential For Rain In 22 Cities Today, High Heat Alert In 3 Regions In The Country
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued a national weather forecast for Monday 6 May. Forecasters Yuni Maharani stated that 22 out of 34 major cities in the country have the potential to rain with various intensity. However, it is necessary to be aware of the high hot temperatures in these three big cities.
Of the 22 cities, 12 cities will rain with light intensity, namely, Medan City, Pekanbaru, and Bengkulu (Sumatra), Serang City (Java), Samarinda City and Palangkaraya (Kalimantan), Palu City and Mamuju (Sulawesi), Ambon City, Ternate, Manokwari, and Jayapura (Maluku and Papua).
Then there are 4 cities with the potential for light rain, namely Tanjungpinang City (Sumatra), Pontianak City (Kalimantan), Gorontalo City and Kendari (Sulawesi).
In addition, there are 6 cities with the potential for rain accompanied by lightning, namely Jambi, Pangkalpinang, Palembang, and Bandar Lampung (Sumatra), Tanjung Selor City and Banjarmasin (Kalimantan).
Cities with cloudy and cloudy weather conditions are Banda Aceh and Padang (Sumatra), Bandung City, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Jakarta (Java), Mataram City, Denpasar, and Kupang (Bali and Nusa Tenggara), Manado City, and Makassar (Sulawesi).

Meanwhile, the humidity in big cities in the country ranges from 50 percent to 100 percent.
