This Electric Car Made In Cikarang Controls The Market Share EV In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The increasing electrification trend in Indonesia has become a market niche that is increasingly in demand by automotive manufacturers. Through wholesale data released officially by Wuling Motors, during the first three months of 2024, starting from January to March 2024, Air ev was successfully sold as many as 686 units. This is a sign that in the midst of the increasingly fierce EV competition, electric cars made in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java, have succeeded in stealing consumer attention.

Back to the wholesales data provided, in January 2024, the first product of the automotive brand with the five diamonds logo began the year with 6 sales, then in February it increased sharply by 451 units and in March 2024 229 units were sold.

Still from the data released by this manufacturer, throughout January to March 2024, they managed to pocket 3,121 wholesales with details in January 2024 as many as 1,876 units, February 2024 as many as 428 units and March 2024 as many as 817 units.

With this achievement, the total wholesales of Wuling's electric car during the first three months have a total of 3,807 units or control the market share of 64.4 percent.

"In the midst of increasingly crowded conditions, we managed to maintain our position as the number one brand in Indonesia by controlling 64 percent of the electric vehicle market in the first quarter of 2024," said Arif Pramadana, Vice President of Wuling Motors Indonesia, on the sidelines of the 2024 PERIKLINDO Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) in Jakarta.
