Ari Bias Is Ready To Send A Criminal Report If Agnez Mo Doesn't Respond To Open Summary
JAKARTA - Songwriter Ari Bias sent an open subpoena to Agnez Mo and HW Event (now HW Group) today, Thursday, May 2.
This subpoena was sent following a closed subpoena that was sent on April 19, which did not receive the response as expected due to the unknown address of Agnez Mo.
"And because we don't know for sure the address of the correspondent is Agnez Mo, so we think this is a notification too, so Agnez Mo knows there is a subpoena for the use of the song," said Minola Sebayang, Ari Bias' attorney at a press conference in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
Minola hopes that with this open subpoena, Agnez Mo can find out what happened, that Ari Bias has not received economic rights from the song Bilang Saja which was performed when Agnez Mo appeared at the concert held by HW Event last year.
If, this open subpoena still does not receive a response and there is no good faith shown by Agnez Mo, then Ari Bias is ready to take firmer legal steps.
"If, for example, there is no more good faith, yes, like it or not, we have to take legal action, whether it is through a criminal report, whether it is through a lawsuit to the Commercial Court, we will formulate it later," said Minola.
"Our last attempt is an effort through these two legal institutions, as regulated by the Copyright Law," he continued.

Meanwhile, Ari Bias sent an open subpoena to Agnez Mo because he was considered negligent and irresponsible for not paying royalties on the forming rights when he performed the song Just Gilang in three concerts held by HW Event last year.
Ari Bias as the songwriter Bilang Saja said that Agnez Mo did not pay royalties when performing the song. In fact, he has confirmed it by looking at the data held by the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN).
Regarding the amount of compensation of Rp. 1.5 billion requested, Ari Bias felt that this value was appropriate. The reason is, Ari Bias said that he never received royalties for performing rights when Agnez Mo performed his songs.
Therefore, Ari Bias even forbade Agnez Mo to perform his songs. Communication with the management to closed subpoenas had also been sent to Agnez Mo and the organizers some time ago, but no response was received.
