PT SEI And PT GNI Help Supply Clean Water And Give Vitamins To Flood-affected Residents
JAKARTA - In the context of the flood disaster emergency response that is currently hitting several villages in Petasia Timur District, North Morowali, Central Sulawesi, PT Stardust Estate Investment (SEI) in collaboration with PT Gunbuster Nickel Industry (GNI), provided assistance in the form of adequate clean water supplies to residents' houses affected by the flood. The clean water supply has been carried out regularly since April 25, 2024 and is still ongoing today, April 29, 2024. In addition, the company also provides vitamins to the evacuation posts.
For information, five hamlets in Bunta Village, East Petasia District, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, were flooded due to the overflow of the Laa River. In addition, floods have also hit Tompira Village, which is also located in East Petasia District. The flood occurred due to the high intensity of rainfall since April 24, 2024.

"Currently, PT SEI and PT GNI are collaborating together to supply clean water to five hamlets in Bunta Village and Tompira Village as well as giving vitamins to evacuation posts. The importance of providing vitamins and the availability of clean water is for the needs of flood-affected residents to meet their daily needs. Such as washing, bathing, and drinking water," said Mellysa.
Clean water and sanitation, said Mellysa, are crucial and important needs. However, with the flood, and the difficulty of fulfilling clean water for refugees resulted in various diseases. This clean water is provided using a fire truck (Damkar) belonging to PT SEI.
