Gelora Rejects PKS To Join Prabowo Coalition, Gerindra Believes There Are Still Meeting Points
JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party responded to the Gelora Party which rejected PKS to join the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government coalition. The party chaired by Prabowo is sure that there will be a common ground regarding the issue.
"We are sure, if we talk about the interests of the nation and state, there will be a common ground," said Deputy Gerindra, Habiburokhman to reporters, Monday, April 29. Habiburokhman said, the Gelora Party did contribute to Prabowo-Gibran's victory. "In general, we are well aware that Gelora Party colleagues have contributed greatly to Prabowo-Gibran's victory," he said. However, the Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran admitted that he had not received any information regarding the composition of the government cabinet in the future from Prabowo as the elected president. "The matter of our cabinet formation has not been informed in detail from Pak Prabowo," he said.
Nevertheless, the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR considered that all interests in politics would be discussed by all parties.
"And we know yesterday's contestation was quite dynamic, but we see that everything can be discussed between the nation's children," said Habiburokhman.

It seems that there is a division of attitudes between the PKS elite and its supporters," said Secretary General of the Gelora Party Mahfuz Sidik in his statement, Monday, April 29. Mahfuz then mentioned about PKS which always plays its ideological narrative against the government. Including the candidate pair number 2 in the 2024 presidential election process yesterday.
"As far as I remember, during the campaign process, many PKSs appeared very ideological narratives in attacking the figure of Prabowo-Gibran," said Mahfuz.
