Recover Traumatically Children Affected By The M 6.2 Garut Earthquake, DPPKBPPPA Deployed To Location
The Garut Regency Government (Pemkab) is trying to restore the trauma condition of children affected by the natural disaster of an earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 6.2, so that they can return to cheerfulness and activities as usual.
Acting (Pj) Garut Regent Barnas Adjidin said that one of the efforts made by the local government (Pemda) was to instruct the Garut Regency Family Population Management Office to plan for Empowerment and Child Protection (DPPKBPPPA) to provide support for restoring mental conditions and communities affected by the earthquake.
"We hope that with our arrival, of course they will be happy, maybe the way you know, so that the trauma they feel can recover soon," he said in Garut, Monday, April 29, was confiscated by Antara.

He conveyed that during a review of the areas affected by the earthquake in several sub-districts, it was found that conditions for people who needed attention from the government, especially those whose houses were damaged by the earthquake.
In addition, there are conditions for children in areas affected by the earthquake which must also be a concern for local governments in tackling them, especially children who are currently growing.
"What is the role of our service to provide services, protection to children, children must eat, well, of course whether there is food for babies or children who are developing, whether they with yesterday's incident were traumatic or not," he said.
He added that overcoming the natural disaster problem in Garut requires cooperation with all agencies, as well as other institutions so that they can quickly complete repairing damage to houses, public facilities, and others affected so that people can return to their normal activities.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that the tectonic earthquake shock in Garut Regency had a magnitude of 6.2, Saturday, April 27, was centered in the sea 151 km southwest of Garut Regency with a depth of 10 km and no potential for a tsunami.
