DKI Provincial Government Receives 256 Company Complaints In Jakarta Haven't Paid Employee THR

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) received 256 complaints related to companies in Jakarta that have not paid the holiday allowance (THR) to their employees.

Of the hundreds of complaints, the DKI Provincial Government also received reports that the company had paid THR but the nominal was not in accordance with the provisions.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Office Hari Nugroho said the number of reports received this year was smaller than the problem of last year's THR arrears.

"If we look at the presentation, there was a decrease from 774 complaints in 2023 in 256 complaints. From the complaint, some were late in paying, some did not pay," Hari told reporters, Sunday, April 28.

Hari assessed that the decrease in the number of complaints of late THR payments was influenced by conditions for economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the company is also increasingly aware of the obligation to pay employee rights.

"Also because of our routine supervision to the field, monitoring to the field, then checking that it is our target. So, the company means a bit scary, if you don't pay," said Hari.

Based on the complaint, the Manpower and Transmigration Office mediated between employees and company management to solve the THR problem that had not been fully paid.

The majority, companies that have not paid THR employees are caused by bankruptcy conditions. There are also companies that close before Eid al-Fitr 1445 H.

The settlement is that the DKI Provincial Government facilitates mediation to find solutions so that THR can be ensured to pay off taking into account the company's financial condition within a few months.

"There are various cases, but thank God, from the hundreds at the end of the year, it will definitely be finished," he added.
