Jadi Top Priority NasDem Di Pilgub DKI, Anies: Rest First

JAKARTA - Former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said he would still rest first before making a decision to advance or not in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.

This was conveyed by Anies when he was asked to be the top priority of the NasDem Party in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"We'll see, now we take a break," Anies told reporters at the DPP Office of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), South Jakarta, Saturday, April 27.

"Rehat means this, yesterday the Constitutional Court's decision (regarding the 2024 presidential election dispute, ed) on Monday, after that we closed the book to clean up all work yesterday so there was a closure. After the closing, we will prepare the next stage," continued the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

In addition to taking a short break after the presidential election, Anies also said that he was still consistent in maintaining the message of change that became his jargon with Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin in the 2024 presidential election. "Yesterday, Gus Imin also entrusted messages of change. So we respect the process," he said.

As previously reported, the NasDem Party said it had offered Anies Baswedan to run in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election. NasDem Party DPP chairman Willy Aditya even called it a top priority.

"Yes, Mas Anies' priority is top priority," said Willy at the PKS DPP Office, South Jakarta, Saturday, April 27.

However, NasDem also prepared other names to anticipate Anies refusing the offer. They include the General Treasurer of NasDem Ahmad Sahroni and Wibi Andrino, the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta NasDem DPW.

"After all, if we don't go forward, we are also ready for alternatives that we have tried to do," said Willy.

"So whatever Mas Anies' decision, we support him because he is a political asset inside, both Jakarta and nationally. We'll wait for Mas Anies' own attitude," he concluded.
