Sales Drop, Tesla Will Lay Off 693 Workers In Nevada

JAKARTA - Tesla Inc plans to lay off 693 workers at the refuting office, Nevada. This was confirmed by the local government.

Launching Reuters, Termination of Work Relations (PHK) is Tesla's plan to cut its workers globally by up to 10 percent. Tesla did this in line with the decline in sales and increasing business competition.

The notice was submitted to the Nevada Department of Manpower, Training and Rehabilitation earlier this week.

The report is in accordance with the US employment law requiring companies with 100 or more employees to notify authorities 60 days before the planned closing or mass layoffs.

Tesla said earlier this month it would lay off 6.020 employees in Texas and California. The number of global employees of the company reached more than 140,000 by the end of 2023, according to a filing to US regulators.
