Not Firmly Expressing Coalition, PKB Calls Support To Prabowo More Than Lisan's Statement
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid responded to the different attitudes of PKB and NasDem regarding their firmness in expressing support for the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government. According to him, although PKB has not officially issued a statement, the support provided is more than verbal statement.
This can be seen from Prabowo's arrival to the PKB headquarters in Jakarta to meet the Chairman of the PKB Party Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin. At the end of the meeting, Cak Imin stated that he was ready to cooperate with Prabowo in the next government.
"That's a verbal statement, we are more than a verbal statement. Pak Prabowo, Mr. Muhaimin was present at the PKB office, which was more than a verbal statement," said Jazilul at the Parliament Complex, Senayan Jakarta, Friday, April 26.
Jazilul denied that PKB was still unable to determine the direction of the coalition after the 2024 presidential election contestation. He said he was just waiting for the right moment to state that PKB was turning around from initially supporting Anies Baswedan-Cak Imin to forming a coalition with Prabowo-Gibran. "Because Prabowo is the elected president, there is a process, there is momentum, there is a stage. When Pak Prabowo has been appointed as president and head of state who has the prerogative to appoint his assistants, maybe there will be clearer," he said.
