Taylor Swift's New Album Reaches One Billion Stream In A Week

JAKARTA - Taylor Swift continued to receive the spotlight after releasing the Torturing Poets Department on Friday, April 19 last week. The 34-year-old singer made various records.

According to data released by Lumate, citing Billboard, Taylor Swift has just set a record listener on Spotify. Her new album hit more than a billion streams over the week, which is a new record since the founding of the digital platform giant.

Previously, the eleventh album Swift also set a record for the most streams on release day. The Torturing Poets Department's songs reach 300 million streams a day.

At the same time, the first song on his album, "Fortnight", featuring Post Malone as a collaborator, became the most played song in a single day on Spotify, totaling 40 million streams.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift initially released 16 songs at the start of album launches. However, in two hours, Swift released 15 additional songs as "The Anthology".
