Indonesian Music Expo Will Be Held Again In Ubud, Bali On May 9-12
JAKARTA - Indonesian Music Expo (IMEX) will be held again this year. With the title A Paradise of World Music, this event will last for four days in Ubud, Bali on May 9-12.
The re-election of Bali as a place of implementation is not without reason. The Island of the Gods is known as one of the tourism locations in Indonesia which is known as foreign tourists.
"We know that Bali is a place that is already known to the world. We want to introduce world music in Indonesia for international markets," said Franki Raden, Artistic Arranger and Founder of IMEX at a press conference in Blok M, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 25.
With this event, musicians carrying world music in Indonesia are expected to be able to penetrate international music lovers, considering that within three decades, the world music genre market reached 10 percent of the circulation of money in the world music market, or approximately $6.5 billion.
IMEX will also invite world music products from various countries to come, with the hope that they will be interested in inviting groups that appear on the IMEX stage to their respective countries.
