Surya Paloh Admits He Has Long Contemplation Before Expressing Support For Prabowo's Government
JAKARTA - The general chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, admitted that he had been in a contemplation for a long time to decide to support the new government which will be led by Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.According to him, the option of being in the government is a good choice. That good choice, he said, was chosen by NasDem."Honestly, I have a contemplation for that. A process of reflection I did for a long time. Finally, I spoke from the honesty of my heart and rationality. If there is an option because the basis is not me who asks, but the opportunity, encouragement, desire, spirit invites, to be together with the government I think that is better. That is my choice, NasDem's choice," said Surya Paloh after meeting Prabowo in Kertanegara, Thursday, April 25.According to Paloh, having an attitude at any time but working to help the government also requires a spirit and sincerity that prioritizes objectivity while maintaining reason and critical power."Moreover, I told you, between the two of us, we haven't only known each other for a year, two years, five years, 10 years. What does it mean to have an understanding for decades together," said Paloh.Paloh asked to be given the opportunity to help Prabowo to realize an advanced Indonesia.
"After we entered the same age, on our dusk days, give us the opportunity, trust us both, we want this nation to progress," he concluded.
