Good News, One Of The OPM Members Surrendered
JAKARTA - One member of the Free Papua Organization (OPM) who carried out the attack on the 2021 Kisor Koramil Post surrendered on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Kisor Village, South Aifat District, Maybrat Regency, Southwest Papua Province.
Setam Same's surrender as a DPO in the 2021 Kisor Ramil Post attack case based on LP Number: LP/157/IX/2021/RES Sorsel dated September 2, 2021. The attack on the Kisor Posramil was carried out by the OPM of thebutan Tabuni Group by about 50 people which resulted in 4 TNI-AD personnel being killed.
Initially received information from the public that there were two OPM members in Rome Village and Kampung Tolak, one of whom was in a sick condition on behalf of Setam Same.
Furthermore, the Yonif 133/YS regional Pamtas Task Force ordered 2 Mobile Teams to carry out reconnaissance patrols in Rome Village and Refuse to get information regarding the whereabouts of the two OPM members.
On Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 06.00 WIT, one of the members on behalf of Setam Same surrendered to visit the District Head and the Head of Land Office who lives in Kisor Village to seek protection and surrender to rejoin the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, but one OPM aggata on behalf of Simon Fatemte fled to the forest.

Kapen Kogabwilhan III Colonel Czi Gusti Nyoman Suriastawa in his statement confirmed the surrender of the OPM member.
"Yes, that's right, currently they are still at the Kisor Post for questioning, then they will be handed over to the Police for further processing," said Kapen.
"He has been given health assistance due to the illness suffered by former OPM member Setam Same by the Yonif 133/YS regional Pamtas Task Force Doctor," he continued.
