Collaborative Efforts For FUNDS And Microsoft To Increase AI-Based Financial Inclusion

JAKARTA - DANA, Indonesia's leading financial technology company, has collaborated with Microsoft to integrate GitHub Copilot into daily business operations, in order to increase the productivity of developers.

Since February 2024, this collaboration has allowed DANA developers to write programming codes faster, as well as focus on problem solving and collaboration.

This strategic move also illustrates the alignment of the DANA mission to encourage financial literacy and inclusion, with Microsoft's mission to empower each person and organization to continue to achieve more.

DANA's commitment was later confirmed by its commitment to the digital payment revolution through innovation and productivity, recently launching the 'AI Everywhere' initiative at the company.

According to DANA's Chief Technology Officer, Norman Sasono, AI is generative in enabling widespread adoption, as anyone can optimize this technology to change existing data and create new solutions.

"This is why DANA is so enthusiastic about accelerating the AI adoption process, including through the implementation of GitHub Copilot," Norman said further.

GitHub Copilot is the most widely used AI developer tool in the world, with more than 1.3 million subscribers and more than 50,000 organizational users using it to increase developers' productivity.

According to Norman, GitHub Copilot has yielded tangible benefits and empowers developers at DANA. The proof, in the last two months, DANA developers have reported a reduction in coding time.

Going forward, DANA will maximize AI's potential to drive innovation by switching to GitHub Copilot Enterprise, which includes a full offering of GitHub Copilot and personalizing it with the context of the organization's codebase.

In addition to GitHub Copilot, DANA has also implemented several AI solutions from Microsoft such as Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, as part of a company initiative titled AI Everywhere, which has increased operations, labor productivity, and company customer service.
