Mutia Ayu Praises Marthino Lio For Glenn Fredly's Role: Never Tired

JAKARTA - Marthino Lio is trusted to play the character Glenn Fredly in the film Glenn Fredly: The Movie. Initially received mixed responses, but Lio's role received appreciation including Mutia Ayu, the wife of the late Glenn.

"Actually, it's been a long time since I've watched this film, but I've never been bored at all," said Mutia Ayu at a press conference for Glenn Fredly.

Mutia revealed that she was happy that Marthino Lio played Glenn Fredly. In fact, he said that his son and Glenn, Gewa, were very close to Lio.

Watching this film makes me remember a beautiful memory with Glenn. Gewa also every time I take him to the cinema to watch, he says 'Nonton is Lio's father, said Mutia again.

If you have met Lio, Gewa must be hostile to me. When he saw the poster he could also call it Lio's father. I also want to thank all parties involved," he continued.

Marthino Lio as the main character felt proud to get the role of the legendary musician. He also explained how he explored the role of Glenn.

"For accents, we have a dialogueue coach that always helps us," said Marthino Lio.

The creators also call this film a celebration of Glenn Fredly's music and life. They believe this film has a very touching family story.

"I feel like we are also celebrating today's life and work by Lukman Sardi, Marthino Lio, Robert Ronny and everything. Mama Uthe, Sonya, Zulfa and of course I am grateful that we were allowed from the family, from Mutia to show a little bit of Gewa's father's life," said Daniel Mananta as producer.

The film Glenn Fredly: The Movie opens in theaters starting today, Thursday, April 25.
