Pelita Air Adds Jakarta-Kendari PP Direct Flight Route

JAKARTA - Pelita Air opened a new flight route to Southeast Sulawesi.

This time, the airline with flight code IP opened the Jakarta-Kendari (PP) direct route.

The opening of this new route was marked by the inaugural flight from Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Jakarta (CGK) to Halu Oleo Kendari Airport (KDI) today, Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Commercial Director of PT Pelita Air Service Asa Perkasa explained that the opening of the new flight route was the second in this April period. Previously, Pelita Air had opened a non-Jaceh-Jakarta flight route on April 3, 2024.

Furthermore, Asa said this new route was chosen because Kendaridan Southeast Sulawesi is a city and province in Indonesia with considerable economic potential, ranging from the mining sector, the agricultural sector, the fisheries sector, to the tourism sector.

"It is hoped that the opening of the Jakarta-Kendari Pelita Air route can further increase accessibility by providing additional flight options from Jakarta to Kendari," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, April 24.

Asa said Pelita Air operates regular flight services for the Jakarta-Kendari-Jakarta route every day with a frequency of 7 times a week using Airbus A320-200 aircraft with a capacity of 180 economy class seats or Silver Class.

The flight schedules are Jakarta-Kendari I (P810) at 06.15 WIB and 10.10 WITA every day. Then, Kendari-Jakarta (IP811) at 11.15 WITA and 13.10 WITA every day.

On the Jakarta-Kendari-Jakarta route, said Asa, passengers also get 20 kilograms of snacks, drinks, and free baggage (kg). Passengers can also enjoy free entertainment that can be accessed by smartphones, tablets, and laptops, each passenger via wireless flight entertainment (W-IFE) using the Tripper application.

With the opening of this new route, continued Asa, there are a total of 13 destinations that have been served by Pelita Air flights, namely Jakarta, Bali, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Padang, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Banjarmasin, Sorong, Aceh, and Kendari.
