Conveying What The Vice President's Duties Are, Ma'ruf Is Scheduled To Meet Gibran

Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin said he would meet with the elected Vice President as a result of the 2024 presidential election, Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the near future.

"I think we will definitely meet the new Vice President, I don't know what today is, what is tomorrow, maybe there will be a meeting," said the Vice President after attending the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for Disaster Management in Bandung City, West Java (West Java), Wednesday, April 24, which was confiscated by Antara.

If the meeting with Gibran is held, said Ma'ruf, he will convey the tasks carried out by a vice president.

"Of course I will convey what a vice president must do, although of course it is different. The vice president is to help the president and carry out the tasks assigned by the president," said Ma'ruf.

The vice president said that maybe the tasks he carried out in the Joko Widodo government were different from Gibran's assignment to the upcoming government.

"When I am assigned it is not necessarily the same as the task of the new vice president assigned by the president, yes, it will be adjusted later," he said.

It is known that the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has named the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the elected president and vice president as a result of the 2024 presidential election.

The determination is contained in the minutes number 252 / PL.01.9-BA / 05/2024 concerning the determination of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs elected in the 2024 general election.

"The General Election Commission has determined the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates elected for the period 2024-2029 in the 2024 general election," said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari at the KPU RI Office, Jakarta, Wednesday.

He explained that Prabowo-Gibran won 96,214,691 votes or 58.59 percent of the total national legitimate votes and met at least 20 percent of the votes in each province spread across 38 provinces in Indonesia.

"Thus, this official report is made in 24 concurrently and each of them is signed by the Chairperson and Member of the KPU," he said.
